CAUCUS NOTICE: The village caucus will be held not sooner than January 2nd and not later than January 23rd for the April 3, 2018 election. Notice of the caucus will be posted at the village hall, post office, United Coop, and on the village website. The following offices are up for election: Three (3) Village Trustees – Incumbents: Kim Bauer, Scott Lemanczyk, and Kathy Morrison. All terms are two (2) years. You must be nominated at caucus to have your name on the ballot.
WATER SOFTENER: Wyocena Wastewater chloride discharge levels have been elevated. Please check your water softener for proper regeneration.
HELP IMPROVING YOUR HOME: The Village of Wyocena has a Community Development Block Grant for Housing Rehabilitation. The funds will be loaned at 0% interest to eligible households for home repairs. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis. There is no cost to fill out an application and all information submitted is strictly confidential. Please contact Sue Koehn at the Housing Program Office at 800-552-6330 for more information or to receive an application.
WELCOME TO THE WYOCENA PUBLIC LIBRARY AT 165 EAST DODGE STREET: Stop in and meet your new director, Jennifer Tallman. Make a New Year's resolution to sign up for a FREE library card and take advantage of all the services and materials that we offer or just come in and visit while using our FREE wireless access. New programs and activities will be coming soon. Check our website, www.wyocenalibrary.org for current hours and announcements.
ALTERNATE PARKING: To help with clearing snow from village streets, alternate parking is in effect until April 15, 2017. Please park on the even or odd side of the street (based on house numbers) matching the date after Midnight. Vehicles should be parked on the appropriate side of the street by 1:00 AM and until 6:00 AM. If possible, the best solution is to park off the street.
SNOW REMINDER: Do not blow or shovel your snow into the street! Please clear snow away from any fire hydrant near your home or business. This will help the Fire Department in case of an emergency.
CHRISTMAS TREE PICK UP: Public works pickup trees during the month of January, weather permitting.

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING: Beginning in 2016 each single family residence was issued one cart for garbage and one cart for recycling. All items to be removed must fit in the container for collection. All recyclables will be placed in the recycling container; you do not need to separate recycling items by type. The collection date will remain Tuesday. Garbage and recycling should be placed at the curb no later than 6:00 AM the day of collection, but no earlier than 6:00 PM the night before.
LARGE ITEM PICKUP: The Village will have large item removal on May 1st and October 16, 2018.
OFFICE HOURS FOR TAX COLLECTION: Office hours are Monday –Thursday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. The Village Office will be closed Thursday, December 21st - Monday, December 25th and December 28th - January 1st. There is a drop box located under the display case, by the Dodge Street entrance, for payments. All payments deposited in the drop box before 7:30 AM on Tuesday, January 2nd will be recorded as paid December 31, 2017. If you would like a receipt please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment. Cash payments are discouraged in the drop box.
